1. Introduction: Molecular Sieve type 3A is a kind of alkali aluminosilicate ,generally as the desiccant in petroleum chemical industry.Because of its special crystal structure and 3A length mesh, it can totally adsorb the substance whose diameter is smaller than 3A.

 

2. Formula: 2/3K2O·1/3Na2O·Al2O3·2.SiO2·9/2H2O

 

3. Main application:

 

1)Drying of unsaturated hydrocarbons (e.g. ethylene, propylene, butadiene) 2)Cracked Gas Drying3)Drying of natural gas, if COS minimization is essential, or a minimum co-adsorption of hydrocarbons is   required. 4)Drying of highly polar compounds, such as methanol and ethanol5)Drying of liquid alcohol6)Static, (non-regenerative) dehydration of insulating glass units, whether air filled or gas-filled.7)Drying of refrigerants
